Essay and Poster Submissions

We would like to thank all of the schools, teachers, and especially the students who participated in our No R-Word Poster and Essay Contests. Judges are busy tallying up scores right now!

We had 109 posters submitted from Ms. Bell's class at Burns Elementary School, Mrs. Dukes' class at East View Elementary, Girl Scout Troop 674, Country Heights Elementary, 3rd and 4th grade classes at Sorgho Elementary, and Ms. Contratto from Daviess County Middle School.

We had 368 essays from Ms. McDuffee, Ms. Moore, Ms. Parker, Ms. Rue, Ms. Smith, Ms. Swift, and Ms. Thurman from College View Middle School, Mrs. Payne's class at Owensboro High School, Mrs. Jarboe's class at Apollo High School, 1st General Baptist Church Youth Group, as well as individual students from Apollo High School and Trinity High School.

These essays have been such fun to read and the posters are incredible and adorable. We cannot thank everyone who participated and helped spread the word about this contest enough! Thank you for all your hard work!
